Lexus App-Android
My Lexus App has been acting poorly for about a week. Some parameters are not updating when I want them to, especially tire pressure. It updates but only when it feels like it. Lock/unlock still works and I get notifications. I cannot select anything in Account, either. I contacted technology support and the first rep ran me through the whole usual routine to uninstall, blah, blah, blah. No change. I called back and the second rep said they have been having problems with Android ever since the most recent update and they are working on it. Anyone else seeing this issue?
I've had the inverse experience! In the year and half since I bought the car, the app basically never worked. It would throw up a connection error and refuse to even load. After the last update, it SOMETIMES works! I never get the error like before, but sometimes (after /minutes/ of waiting) it will pull up, and sometimes it won't. Absolutely ridiculous, although I assume that (at least the in US) 98% of Lexus customers are on iOS.
With other Apps I have heard of better support for iOS, although I do not know whether that is true here. You would think that with the Lexus reputation and the back-patting that they do about the technology in their vehicles, their App should be reliable. After all, even General Motors could make theirs work years ago. I manually update the Apps on my phone so I will be watching for an update to the Lexus App. Thanks for your response.

2.5.4 also. Seems to be behaving now, with the understanding that the TPMS only registers after the car has been driven. I guess that relates to the type of TPMS. My GM TPMS registered anytime you pinged it. Oh well, much to learn.

I think I just saw you mention in another post that you drive your car so infrequently that you have a solar charger for the car.
If you're not driving it for extended periods of time the vehicle may be going into a "sleep/hibernation" mode. I know Ford's do this after a few days of not being locked/unlocked or otherwise accessed. May be a similar situation here if you're not driving it enough.
Regardless you should still be able to use the "setting/account" features.

Interesting thought, I wonder how long it takes before going into sleep? In any event, since the purchase I have been driving frequently. The solar panel is preemptive based on my experiences with cars since 2007, my driving habits since retiring, and things like the always active security systems.
I don't know the specifics for Lexus, but here's the states from Ford.
Deep Sleep mode is designed to conserve battery power on your vehicle. This setting is activated when your vehicle falls under the following conditions:

- Vehicle inactivity for 14 consecutive days
- The battery voltage drops below 9.5 volts
- Extremely cold/hot weather conditions
Thanks. The capability seems poorly designed. At 9.5 volts the battery is dead and with a significant loss of capacity, never to be regained. Lead acid batteries like to be and stay fully charged, if you are going to rely on them for starting loads especially.
