After updating to iOS 14, I am unable to access my car via the app. Anyone else have an issue?

Does the app still do anything worthwhile, since they stripped away all cool streaming services? Haven’t used mine since!

 

It will start your car or lock/unlock your doors. About all it is good for.

 

That's the thing with the App Suite. It's useless for media streaming now. They ripped out Pandora, haven't added Spotify or any popular apps. Lexus invested in this and advertise this like crazy when I was an LTS but they don't keep up with their infotainment system. So much for hands-free.

 

Makes me wonder if it’s worth a class action lawsuit!? I’m not into throwing the law at everything, but if they aren’t going to give you something promised, then perhaps they should unlock the system, so we can get useable third party interfaces. As it is now, any attempt to try and use it is far more dangerous than simply using your phone. Even then, we all know the risks. Almost plowed into someone already trying to switch Spotify channels through my phone. Won’t ever do that again. Seems we had more options and safety with just the old fashioned CD stacker. A couple of clicks and we had the right play list. Now it takes as much time as replying to this thread!

I know, do it before you get in the car. I do, but sometimes the infotainment system will open the music app and starts playing something random instead of Spotify or Pandora. The screen warning says not to be distracted while driving, then locks you out so you have no choice.
