Been enjoying my 500 for over a year now and love it. It is everything my IS F was, but better (well maybe not the brakes ). There are two things I want to 'customize', but I am not sure if these things are possible:

1) Adjust the default radar cruise control distance to be the same as used previously. I just had a 2024 rental Corolla that did it and it was fantastic. It looked like it had a newer version of Toyota/Lexus Safety Sense.

2) Remove the seatbelt chime when I start the car and it is in park. I am pro seatbelt, but I am also about getting settled in and setting up a podcast before putting on my seatbelt on (car still in park). Is there anyway to do so? I know it is possible to turn off the seat belt warning entirely, but it does not remove the start up seatbelt chime.

I'm not sure that you can do what you want on the radar cruise. It seems to default to max everytime. Maybe that is a customizable setting, not so sure on that one.

Seatbelt chime is a customizable setting that needs to be set with a dealer's techstream. Oddly enough my dealer won't do that setting because of reasons. On my wife's 2013 IS 350 I could do it with pushing buttons in a combo but this platform does not allow that.

 

My 08 IS F had the same button code feature. I have the Carista app & dongle and can turn it off in the 500 using the app, but it doesn't affect the chime that comes on when the car is in park.

 

I know this is an old thread but there's an app I use on my Lexus vehilces called Carista.. the app along with a bluetooth OBDII reader allows you to customize a few things including the seatbelt chime
