Front crossmember jack point depth
Does anyone know what is the measured distance of the jack point from the front of the car? I'm looking at purchasing a floor jack and would like to know how long it should be to reach the jack point easily without damaging anything.
I've went through a couple threads but didn't see any measured distance. Most "long reach" jacks I've looked at are listed around 31 inches lengthwise.
Thanks.

I'm using these units on the jacking points on the side of the car and they work great with a little blue loctite on the allen bolts to keep them on there without any worries. Works great for jacking the car up. Recently had it in the air with all 4 wheels off the ground.

Not sure about the exact distance, but the distance from the center of the wheel to the front of the car is about 36" so the jack point is likely somewhere close to that as well. Clearance is roughly 5-6" so most low profile jacks should fit. If you want to be sure, just drive it up on some 2x4s (or 6s, 8s, or whatever you like) to get a little extra clearance for the jack. Most "long reach" jacks are still going to be fully under the car when jacking from the front crossmember so the extra 2by height will help with getting a little more travel from the first few pumps of the handle.
I have the HF Daytona long reach and it does fine. It clears the car even with a hockey puck on the saddle. You need to lower the handle to fully reach the lift point as the jack is going to be all the way under the car. Good thing is it has a pedal to quickly lift the saddle without using the handle to touch the lift point.
You have to be careful on the first few pumps as you’ll get close to the bumper with the handle, then you’re fine. It even raises almost 25” so you have a ton of room especially to do an oil change.

Thanks all for the input! Good to know that the HF long reach will work without issues. That one is on my list but a bit on the heavier side so I'll try shopping for just low profile ones. Didn't realize you could pump with the handle fully horizontal so that should expand the list some.
The better HF jacks usually have a piece of rubber on there but it’s not that thick. I have a hockey puck on mine, it prevents metal to metal contact and makes it easier to be precise with your placement so you don’t accidentally bend something.

Thanks for the confirmation!
I purchased a 4 pack of rubber jack pads beforehand and used the one with the slit it in but are they supposed to deform? Once I lowered the car the pad's shape went back to normal but didn't have time to try again. That and I wasn't sure I should be using the 6 ton jack stands I got since ~15" minimum height looks kind of high now so going to grab a 3 ton set tomorrow.
