Question Blown Tire - Rim / Jack Question

So it happened to me ... Blew out a tire on a nasty pothole today. Ended up in the right lane and got towed, safely thankfully.

Looks like its just the tire, not the rim; as there's a huge gash in the tire. Problem is - I have to put in a warranty claim etc etc with TireRack, and wanted to know how long is it safe to leave the car in a garage on a flat tire (Front passenger), and if not too long; What are my options? I have a jack and jack stands but have zero clue where's a safe spot to put everything to not damage the car or bend anything.

Looks like it would be for about 36 hours on the floor; tire rack delivers on thurs and I'll get it mounted/balanced.

I took recently hit a pothole... traveling out of town on unknown roads and rain, night, BAM pothole. Messed up tire sidewall. Be sure to check the alignment at least. While mine drove straight, the side I hit a pothole was indeed out of spec, which may have caused uneven wear on the replacement tire had I not checked.

A couple months ago, I was at a red light waiting to make a left. When the light changed, I followed the guy in front of me and heard a loud bang. Thirty seconds later my TPMS lit up. Don't know what I ran over, but my right rear tire was shredded. I flat bedded my LC home, and put jack stands under the rear. My PS4S were about 70% worn. I quickly ordered two new rear tires. I removed both rear wheels and threw them in the bed of my truck. Discount Tire overnighted my tires. Upon further inspection at the tire shop, The wheel itself was damaged (a hole through the center hub. Yep, a catastrophic flat. My wheels were Vossen and were flow formed, the inexpensive wheel. So, I decided, since I had to replace at least one wheel, that I really wanted forged wheels. So, I ordered two more S4s for the front and Vossen CG-202 wheels all around. Sis weeks later they arrived My LC sat on the jack stands in my garage while waiting Happy ending. The new wheels and tires are now mounted

For the IS - See this:

Am I seeing it right, that you put the jackstands not on the pinch weld itself but just behind it? I've seen people using special stands for the pinch weld but not in your style. Just trying to learn

I've read in multiple locations that the pinch weld on many Lexus models was not designed to hold the weight of the car, but the section right behind it is. Not sure if that's true or not but my IS500 has one of its pinch weld slightly bent [either by a tire place, indie shop, or previous owner]. This is why I bought special adapter that I had posted (post #6) in this thread IS500 Jacking Points for Quickjack - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion

Why not just use the spare tire and jack in the trunk? The owners manual will walk you through the entire process.

Spare tire in the trunk does not clear the GSF BBK so unfortunately I couldn't.

Ended up leaving it on the flat tire for 2 days, put the replacement that came in on today and the shop said the rim isnt bent or cracked in any way. So win!
