I see it too. It's exactly what happens when Toyota tries too hard. It dilutes the brand.

 

LOL! Well…several ‘Light Lexus’ design cues have made their way to Toyota. My 52 year old eyeballs thought it was a chocolate brown…and I was super excited! 😂

if this is the case then you would probably hate seeing all the cars in japan; they have/had (well they did back in the day) more models over that don't make it here and it's more confusing. i remember when we were stationed there in the mid 90s and saw the Levin the first time; it was a cross between the corolla and mr2 or maybe more sr-5 . this was the time of the altezza, aristo, soarer, and harrier were under the toyota badge...good times!!!

 

The Japanese are crazy. I know. I watched Gyeongseong Creature.

 

Can you guys educate me on the tires? Never had a vehicle with different size rear tires and being unable to rotate. I expect to replace stock tires with Michelins but not sure what is expected tread wear or not rotated if affects warranty.

Only had a couple days and bought some all weather Lexus floor mats and tinted windows/windshield with ceramic tint.

Plan on changing oil/filter and rear differential at 1000 miles to get rid of any break in metal. Overkill probably but old habits die hard on things that have worked for me over the years.
