Personally, I like this. I'd rather have a larger, more granular view of oil temp compared to coolant temp and fuel level. Since we don't have an oil cooler like the RC F, the oil temp is more likely to rise during spirited driving - even on fairly brief mountain-road blasts, I've seen mine creep well above the middle of the range.
GS F and RC F gauge clusters do that, they have all of them with same demarcation, plus it has the speedometer in analog. I like both of the designs, this one on the IS 500 is LFA inspired one, which is fitted to current ES line too and older IS. And it has Sport S / S+ style variance while the RC F / GS F one has same for both modes. And one thing is IS 500 has max speed cap of 150Mph while rest of the 2UR cars have higher limits (170mph+) from IS F to LC 500.
