Ok, so here's what's going on...

you know when you park and your car is really close to a wall or other car or anything the cameras come on and you get the panoramic above the car view on they display?

Well mine comes on randomly and I am not anywhere near anything.. Not sure if I have some setting thats off or what. Anybody know anything about why this is happening? If it happens again tomorrow, I will post a pic or video

 

Your 12v battery may be low. In the past my car has done strange things with the warnings and electronics, camera turning on exactly like you described, when I left the light on the night before for example.

 

Does it turn on at red lights or basically whenever you are stopped? If so you may have accidentally turned the auto function on.

 

I need to accidentally turn mine on. I need to remember to go do that. lol

Yeah sounds to me like the automatic feature.

The guy who sold me the car warned me about it... he said it's really neat when you're parking... but really annoying when you're driving in the city and it takes over your screen at every stop light / stop sign.

@vpar23 I can't remember whether you turn it on through the gauge cluster settings or the infotainment screen settings... sorry.

 

Turn the car on. Tap the camera button. Auto is on the bottom left corner. Turn it on or off as you choose.

 

so this is something I have been feeling stupid about, but where is the camera button. Not sure if I’m just not the brightest, but I have even looked in the manual and can’t find it…

 

Left side I think it says "view"

This isn't correct, the car has to be in drive before the auto button will appear.

Turn the car on, put it in drive, tap the camera button, then auto is in the bottom left corner.

Lmfao. Someone would’ve tried it and gotten annoyed.

 

It was doing it, but since I posted this a few days ago, its hasnt done it since unless i get to close to someone at a light or something.. Thanks for the tip though, if it does it again, I will try the settings
