I heard a few people saying it only works for people with the handling package… is there no way making it work for the is350 without the handling package… does anyone know
That's a little bit misleading, there are a few different part numbers for key cards, all with different FCC ID's, so that specific part number you just referenced may fit one IS, but not another. It is useful though. OP see if your vin is compatible with that part he just shared.
Sorry Pittsy but you are wrong, you hace to order by part number not by FCC#. If you read what I said in my post I directed him to look at what this fits where he or she can see the models it works with.
Of course the poster should double check with where ever the order is made to confirm. The part about the FCC having to match is bs, look at the below pic of my keys.

that’s really interesting. I had to buy two card keys. The first one I had didn’t match FCC ID’s, and it didn’t work, but my second one with matching ID’s did.
There’s more to it than matching FCC IDs. The one for my car that came with it since I have DHP does not match the ID of the other two fobs. I don’t have the link but there is an in-depth write up on a Tacoma forum about finding out which key matches. It involves checking the model number for the smart key ECU. The actual model number stamped on the ECU itself, not the part number. The part number includes the vehicle specific bracket which is what gives it a different part number, but the most Toyota / Lexus products share the same module part number. Your best bet is to call a Lexus dealer with the vin for a DHP car and ask them what key it is. Keep in mind they should give you two part numbers. One for the electronic key and one for the key blank. The dealer will need to cut the key blank specifically for your vehicle, so make sure you make that clear when ordering. Just because you use a DHP vin to order parts doesn’t mean they should use that vin to cut the key.
