Is it perhaps possible to pry up the vented grill on the backboard to access the rear sub (non-ML audio)? I ask because I'm planning to replace the stock sub and I'm hoping to avoid going through the hassle of removing the entire backboard.

 

Yes you can but you have to JB weld the plastic clips back in or else you will have major rattles.

 

Thanks for the advice. I'm not keen to break anything so I'll have to take long route and hope I don't introduce any rattles.
