Hi All,

I've been reading around this forum and have seen plenty of posts regarding the 4x4 10.25 in carplay screen. However, I couldn't find the answer to the question I had.
So I know that currently they are on the 3rd generation of screen:

I want to know what is the difference between the 3rd generation vs the first 2. I.E what did they improve upon, etc.
Also if the 3rd generation is on par with the current Lexion option or if there are still some downsides (like longer load times) compared to the Lexion.

I'm afraid to go with Lexion due to most people saying the customer support isn't great, and if I get a faulty device then I don't want to deal with that. And if the 3rd generation 4x4 still hasn't improved on some of the key features, then maybe i'll wait for a 4th generation, since I heard in another post that they said it might release this year.

Lastly I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area, and a shop told me that can install the 4x4 kits for around $225-$275 since they are a authorized dealer (OC customs in San Jose). But if anyone has done something like this with a shop here and has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
