Hey folks..
so I have a 2016 IS 300 f..
LOVE his car! Just Recently has made a few extra squeaks and rattles dashboard center around the clock area ( Im pretty sure-) and driver side door area - next to my left ear! . I have tried putting the pressure and pulling pressure -not to hard- and didnt have too much luck. I actually ended up spraying a little bit of car detailing stuff in the crevice at the dashboard and the squeaking/rattling stopped for a while. Pressure with fingers under the clock, above climate panel screen seem to quiet it a little..hmm??
All that said, I purchased a can of silicone spray on Amazon ( wont arrive for two days ), because I have read a number of places that a little silicon spray would help. The noises are really minimal but drive me absolutely crazy!
I definitely do not want to pull apart the dashboard or doors and start to play hide and seek for it so Im hoping this will work.
Any advice? Where to apply? When or how?
Im really grateful for any help!!!!
thank you!
Yeah don't do sprays. that's extremely silly. you can use any type of cloth or felt tape or similar thin insulation. you could probably even get away with some electrical tape if you're tight on resources/time at least as an experiment. and if it solves the problem, it solves it. just without any odors and evaporation problems..
