Been looking at swapping out my jog controller in my 2014 lexus is350 f sport with the navigation package & ML. I was wondering if anyone has ever done a swap to the lower end dial controller. The reason I am interested in doing this is because I think it looks better and I want to upgrade to an aftermarket infotainment screen and it seems as though these screens work considerably better with the dial controller compared to the jog controller. I dont see any reason why this wouldnt work but I thought to ask since I bet someone on here has to tried to do this at some point or another.

I really like the joystick(jog), but to each his own.
I recently got the Lexion CarPlay unit and larger screen, and it all works great with my joystick.

Two different input methods. Do we have any evidence that the ****/dial actually works with the different multimedia system?Originally Posted by TophersGRG

Did you find out if it worked because I’ve been looking around to do the same thing Originally Posted by TophersGRG

The **** = non-Navigation
The Jog (joystick) - w/ Factory Navigation.
The two are NOT interchangeable. different communcation BUS signals. The respective stereos are very different between the Non-Navi and Navi; User functionality, hardware and wiring.
