Default Upgrading Screen In New 2021 IS 350

Just bought a new IS 350 with the standard 8 inch screen and I want to know if it's possible to upgrade just the screen.

The package with the larger screen included tons of other stuff I didn't want and/or need, it also pushed the car into a new tax bracket and out of budget. That's why I didn't get it pre-installed.

I tried calling the local Lexus dealer parts department and asking to order the screen. They told me it can't be done because it wouldn't be integrated with the rest of the car, so it can't function. I feel that's a little ridiculous, given it's just a touch screen monitor hooked up to a computer.

Any advice?

Awesome! I've messaged the seller to see about a fit with the latest model. Looks like I can try it out and if it doesn't work, just revert.

EDIT: Heard back quickly... It doesn't fit. I think the '21 is still too new given the design changes.

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but has anyone had any luck upgrading the factory 8" screen? I'm in the same camp as OP just bought a new 2022 is350 but didn't have the option for the 11" screen. Any help appreciated.

Are you looking for aftermarket screen or oem screen? If oem I doubt it would be plug and play, does your 8” even have navigation and CarPlay?

The 8 inch screen is the non-navigation screen

I think 2021+ is too new for any aftermarket screen upgrade. I was looking into changing the screen too when I got mine. I asked the Lexus rep and said the OEM bigger screen will not work. Hopefully a good rep company will come out with 2021+ upgrade soon.
