Default Knock/Pop After Coils Installed

Hi All,

I had RSR coilovers, Bjoint, and rear camber link installed on 17 IS350. When I got home after picking up the vehicle, I reversed into the driveway and there is a single knock/pop sound coming from the front. It knocks everytime I reverse while turning. Was wondering if you guys know why this is happening? This never happened before, only started happening when I had those items installed onto the vehicle.

Link to the video of the sound:

Thank you in advance!

Honestly bro, I don't think that's normal. How often does that happen? I feel like the person who installed em probably didn't assemble it properly, maybe it needs to be readjusted.. you're not rubbing either right?

Yours sounds like you're hitting something with your car, it's way too loud, you have to take it back and re-install

Since you just had the work done and you can consistently make the noise, I suggest taking it back tot he installer for them to check it.
Duplicate the noise for them so they can see how the noise is made to occur and let them take it from there.

I had the same noise (not as loud as yours) when i installed my coilovers only in very slow speeds but mine was coming from the rear. If I added passengers in the car the noise went away. I ended up selling the coils before I was able to diagnose what it was.

I would hope that they torque that ball joint to spec if you had the upper one installed. I had my 2nd gen IS350 with coilover and never had that sound or any other car i owned with coilovers setup. Def double check nuts and end links for the sway bars.

It was the ball joint! After it being torqued down, car is driving fine.
