Handling Upgrade
I have a 2016 IS 350 AWD F Sport that I bought new. I would like to improve the handling on the car and need suggestions that will not break the bank. The car leans significantly with on and off ramps moving at speed and is just not as responsive as other cars I have driven. My kids Civic can actually take these ramps quicker! I plan to get new tires soon (currently original) which will help a bit and will consult with Tire Rack. I live in MA and potholes are a problem with the suspension bottoming out if hitting one wrong. If possible, I would like to “fix” both issues. Any and all help would be appreciated.
And, on a side note, does anyone know if it is possible to get Apple Car Play hooked up? The dealer said No.

You can add lower spring that give minimum drops. Rear sway bar from RC Fsport but installing requires dropping rear subframe a little to access. Better tires and Front LCA bushing from oem RCF/GSF or Figs engineering or RR racing bushing. CarPlay you have to aftermarket option one is beatsonic it piggy back off your oem unit. Another is replacing the 7” to a 10” screen from China android unit.
Thanks for your suggestions. I see you live in MA. Can you suggest a source for these parts and a good place to get them installed? This is not my skill set. I looked online and see different variations of everything. If there are specific part numbers etc. you can point me to it would be appreciated. Also, you mentioned a 10” screen from China android unit. Is this a proven fix? I would love the larger screen as well.
Here is the thread re: the 10" Android unit: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...x4shop-ca.html
There is also a unit made by Lexion: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-...us-models.html
And finally the Beat-sonic solution: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/cl-...is-models.html

You can order the RC/GSF lower control arm bushings from Megazip: https://www.megazip.net/
The part number for the bushings are here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l#post10374066

I have contacted a few installers, and this is the general message I am getting – “ You really want to find one person that is completely happy with the combination of springs/bushings/sways and tires they have chosen and set yours up the same way”. Can people comment on their setup?

I also live in MA and just recently installed the Beatsonic Apple CarPlay on my 2016 IS. In my opinion it’s a great unit. I mainly use it for google maps and Spotify. There are a few bugs that I am trying to work out with the vendor right now but overall I recommend it. Would be glad to answer any questions you may have
If I decide to get Apple Carplay in the car I will likely go for the larger screen as well given the expense. Has anyone done this and can speak to any issues they are having? I am reluctant to lower the car much given the MA winters etc., but I do want the car to handle much better. I am still looking for those who have an effective mod.

RCF/GSF bushings
-minimize premature inner tire wear.
- this set will also give you a very little improvement on handling
- car still want to wander around on highway speeds
- OEM look (not that someone will always look under the car)
RR Racing USRS bushings
(RED) is intended for track use so I honestly will avoid this unless you don't mind the NVH that most drivers experiencing.
(BLACK) - street version - will give you the best handling experience minus the NVH. You will notice a stiffer ride but it will mostly eliminate the premature inner tire wear, will drive straight as an arrow in highway speeds, and that heavier steering wheel feeling.
FIGS engineering LCA bushings
-softer version of USRS
