Question Installing NEW Lower Control Arm Bushings

Hey, for the drivers that got (GS/RC) Lower Control Arm Bushings installed to reduce inner front tire wear, does this ALSO require a 2-wheel or 4-wheel Alignment, &/or did you also get an alignment done at the same time? Thanks!! https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dl...0?q=4807524010

EDIT > got a 4-wheel alignment less than 2k miles ago, but heard that newly installing Lower Control Arm Bushings messes it up?

I installed, went for alignment...alignment shop said car is in spec already, didn’t charge me...so my car didn’t....if ur car is out of alignment or even if it’s been a few years since u got an alignment it doesn’t hurt to get one.
So no you don’t NEED it but you might...

Reason being, got a 4-wheel alignment less than 2k miles ago, but thought newly installing Lower Control Arm Bushings messes it up? Will edit this is in d'OP.

you’ll be fine, it should not alter alignment if you’re in spec right now.

Angry UPDATE > Replacing Lower Control Arm Bushings

Lexus of Tampa Bay wants a whopping $390 to replace the OEM lower control arm bushings with the GS/RC parts... Plus they REFUSE to do it if i don't agree to ALSO getting a 4-wheel Alignment for another $150... and this is the LOWEST quote!! lol

Then I called AAA and they don't install customer supplied parts even if they're genuine... This SUX!!

Call independent shops. It's a quick process. I had an alignment done as well. You could have it checked as you may not need it One hours labor, though it doesn't take that long.
No need to go to the dealer.

Me and my buddy did mine it less than 45 mins, and that was without a lift. It's an extremely simple process Show this video to your mechanic. Shouldn't take more than an hour.

A fair price would be an hours labor...depending on what the shops hourly rate is...and barring any issues.

@ @bgross88 "without a lift" you mean you just jacked up the car and crawled under?

Yes, that’s what I did. Took me longer, as it was just myself, but it can be done. Just make sure you’ve got a torque wrench that goes high enough (had to go out to buy one).

Correct...with a low profile jack.

Ya, that, or Murphy's Law kicks in & 3000 lbs of steel crush your head.

I used a jack and two jacks stands.
Lift the subframe from the front middle with the jack and put each jack stand under the frame rails under the front area of the vehicle floor...once you lower the vehicle onto the stands, keep the jack in place...therefore 3 points of contact to ensure there is no head crushing.
I would suggest even blocking the rear wheels before jacking so there is no roll at all.

This is exactly what I did as well, should have been more clear, but not sure why working on a car without a lift is a big deal?

I wonder if the 2021 model year will have the same issue with premature tire wear
