Default IS350 F Sport -2015 - P013C Engine Light Code Tripped

Hello Everyone,

I plugged in my obd2 scanner for the engine light I got yesterday, it stated P013C, which when I google it I believe it is O2 sensors (but could possibly be other things such as the catalytic converter), I am hoping it is the O2 sensor. My Question is I need my car for work and I need to drive it to the dealership to get it checked out, do you think it is safe to drive with this code? I am thinking it may affect fuel efficiency but not sure if it will damage anything else,

TIA

thanks - I had a big snow storm the other day and it was very deep snow and the snow hardended and had to drive over it a few times scraping the bottom, I need to find a sensor diagram for lexus IS350's but I think the bank 2 sensor 2 is also underside of the car so it could be as you say a O2 sensor went bad or damaged from that.

Looking for this part online and it appears to be a big price different when sourced from Lexus OEM part ($278 CAD) and looking on Denso autoparts it is $60 bux + shipping, link below says it fits... anybody whos replaced an O2 sensor know the rough pricing of a O2 sensor?

2 of my sensors went bad on my 2010 Corolla.. one was an O2 sensor and the other was a "Fuel Ratio sensor". I am pretty sure we bought the "Denso" sensor first.. installed at a 3rd party shop and the check engine light didn't go away.. The shop wasn't able to diagnose it properly so we went to Toyota and they found out it was 2 sensors and had OEM parts installed and that finally fixed it.

Point is, don't waste your money on aftermarket parts in relation to your car throwing a code. Get the OEM part and bring the part to a trusted mechanic who can do the job. If you don't have a mechanic, just go to the dealer.

The two prices you found sound about right.
Since Bank 2 is the driver's side, make sure you are getting the AWD or RWD correct sensor, depending on what your vehicle is.

The big difference in price is due to the fact that the Lexus one comes in a Lexus box, and the Denso one comes in a Denso box.
Denso makes the sensor for Lexus anyways, so might as well get it for quarter the price direct from the manufacturer of the part.

thanks - at $60 a pop for the denso one i may even just replace both bank 2 sensors while Im at it - mine is the AWD version - i can see my sensor cord near my parking brake, seems like a simple install.the problem is my obd2 threw the code P013C - it say "maufacturer control" it doesnt specifically say bank 2 sensor 2, which is why I am hesitating a bit-

If the code was P013C, then it's Bank 2 Sensor 2...O2 sensor slow response, rich to lean.
