The front of the new IS is amazing. Totally clean, modern, and fierce.

The back is terrible however and they need to fix it. Looks WAY too much like a Prius. And I would know. Check out my avatar.

I actually like the rear very much, the rear quarters are wider and flare out more. The front looks better too. I think this car is far better looking than the 2020 and older. But, that's just me.

Have you seen it in person? I thought the same about the back but once I saw it. I love it. It reminds me of the newer Porsche.

Imo the entire look of the exterior is a Home run. The interior is the harder sell, even though I have no issues with it other than the red version which is horrendous.

The 2021 IS rear end looks way better than anything the Toyota Prius has to offer

I have a technical question. Before I ask her, please consider that I'm abroad and the IS is currently discontinued, so I don't have any possibility to ask Lexus about it directly.

The new Lexus IS350 is available with an optional dynamic package, that includes lighter springs, lighter suspension components and wheels, making the drivetrain lighter by 20%. But I read that this actual redesign of the IS is heavyer by 150 pounds than the previous 3IS due to all safety equipment that is coming with it. Is this rumor legit ?

Other question, is it possible to order the 2021 without all those additionnal safety equipments ?

The new Lexus IS350 is available with an optional dynamic package, that includes lighter springs, lighter suspension components and wheels, making the drivetrain lighter by 20%. Yes the car has an optional Dynamic Handling package, however the previous 3IS's do not.
But I read that this actual redesign of the IS is heavier by 150 pounds than the previous 3IS due to all safety equipment that is coming with it. Is this rumor legit ? Depending on what model specifically from 2020 to 2021 you are comparing, yes there can be a 150lbs difference...keeping in mind that 2020 has no optional Dynamic Handling package like the 2021.

Other question, is it possible to order the 2021 without all those additional safety equipment? Every IS will comes with the same basic standard safety equipment...i.e. ABS, TRAC, BSM, etc....so in a nutshell, no, you cannot remove the safety equipment at purchase. The new Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 includes everything.

Thank you for your response.

I will very probably come to the US to compare this new 2021 with it's IS500 counterpart and the RCF. It will be an interesting trip.
