As of today, January 21, 2021 I have only seen the new 2021 Lexus IS at my two local dealerships in Maryland in the Baltimore area. I have yet to see one of any color out on the road!! 😌😌😌

As for the chrome trim, i'd be wrapping that in high gloss vinyl. no dip junk. these aren't 89 civics!
While the piano black trim looks great when it is clean and in pristine condition, it can become a maintenance issue when you live in regions where there is snow and heavy salt because of where piano black trim is used. Rear bumper is the worst place to have piano black treatment. And the extent of piano black treatment in the rear bumper of the new IS is not very thoughtful. I have seen some cars also have black piano trim on rear bumper but it is only limited to the rear portion of the rear bumper and not the entire lower rear bumper.
The piano black trims for the side skirts and the lower front bumper are not as bad because they can relatively easy be fixed with pre-cut PPF. For rear bumper, you need custom wrap.
If I have this car, I would have wrapped the black piano trim of the rear bumper with PPF or maybe do a vinyl wrap. But Vinyl wrap gets chipped easily in those lower areas of the car.
