^^ I so agree!! That blue is stunning although like I said, this is my personal thing but just not a fan of the BBS wheels hence why I didn't the dynamic handling package (and the fact you couldn't order a white interior with that package which I am not sure I understand the logic)

Weird, I guess its subjective but I love the BBS wheels and ash wood accents on mine. This is my first Lexus though coming from several Honda and Acura vehicles. It's easy to say that the IS 500 is no brainer, but at the same time it won't be cheap. It's more likely an additional $8-$10k on top. Where I'm from you have to consider the cost of our luxury tax on top of the sales tax. It most definitely won't be cheap. That's close to spending $80k+CAD... on an old platform... I rather buy a used LC500 at that point lol (or at least wait another year or two till it reaches $80k - I haven't seen any yet). If you're a die hard enthusiast then sure, IS 500 is a no brainer but this IS 350 F-Sport is my daily. A V8 daily driver is poor logic in my opinion.

My head hurts just thinking about it. But if the base price of the IS 500 turns out to be ~$55,000 (USD), well that's about the same going price as the IS350s with Performance Package + ML sound system here in the US. That's what I meant. The LC500 is a looker but a completely different feel of a car. I had a chance to test drive the LC500, LS500, GS F, and RC F in Anaheim at a Lexus event a couple years ago. By far, the most balanced-feeling car out of those three was the GS F and I was very surprised by that. I also test drove a 2020 IS350 RWD recently and of course the ride felt amazing, but the V6 didn't have me too excited - and that's coming from someone who has driven a Prius for the last 12 years. Now imagine pairing the 5L V8 onto the IS platform, which to me is basically a smaller version of the GS. In my book that's a winner.
I am wondering though, what makes a V8 not a good DD?

The LC and RC felt a little heavier, lower to the ground, and with a tad longer wheelbase. By far, the most balanced-feeling car out of those three was the GS F. Now imagine pairing the GS F's engine with the IS platform, which is the IS 500. In my book that's a winner.

V8's logically (to me) isn't a great daily (could be the age and stage in my life as well) because of how I would define daily driving. Simply a to b, to and from work, etc. This is why they separate vehicles to daily drivers and weekend drivers. To burn $100+/tank in say 3-4 days is a luxury but at the same time it's not like you're even pushing the vehicle to use all 471hp on city roads. I guess it depends where you're from too. I'm in the heart of my city so to try and speed and crank all that power is just me ending up at the next red light faster lol.
If I had to redo my purchase I would get the IS500 or LC500 as my weekender and the new 2022 NX 450h+ (maybe even the LF-Z - apparently coming late 2022) as my daily. At the end of the day I just prefer to not put all my pennies into a car.
That's hot.
I agree I would never push an IS500 to near its limit just by driving to work, etc. While test driving the IS350 there was only one open road I got to hard accelerate on, and even then I let up bc I was afraid of getting pulled over by a hiding cop. Also I get about 45 mpg and spend about $30 every 2 weeks in my Prius. So if I switched to premium fuel @ 16 mpg....that's about $92 instead of $30. Then there's the V8 premium for oil changes and smog checks. You're making me want a 350 LOL.
