2018 IS350 F SPORT. I love this car by the way. I currently have a k n filter with stock intake. Is it worth buying an aem or other after market intake without giving the car a tune? Is there a tune available? Will I accidently hinder performance with an intake, without giving a tune. What say yall?

OEM performs the best. You're not gonna loose noticeable power by switching, maybe a tad on the lower end. I cut open my intske box to replicate the 2IS F-Sport intake to gain the sound and minimize or eliminate power loss.

Good question...people somehow still think a cone filter and metal intake is helping power....its not. At least not on this car.
( I also didn't metal F-Sport intake lol, with modified stock box. But knew I was downgrading a tad in terms of overall performance. I liked it anyways)

Intakes are pointless on our cars. Boxed air is the best. All other intakes are for the sound.

As said stay stock. Get a F Sport filter but mostly cause its reusable by washing.

Intakes on the IS350 do nothing, but add a nice noise. Consider it a fun intake whistle, worth getting for the whoosh.

I've got the takeda intake on my 2017 is350 f sport and the sound makes it worth it for me. I also do have a tune for it since i got FBO on it. I didn't notice a change in power but if your a sound guy it's worth it, and it looks kinda cool.

Getting rid of the accordian pieces for smooth pieces always helps flow, by eliminating the turbulence it causes. Makes the power curve smoother also.
