this is a good question.
but higher RPMs should be smoother, lower like suggested makes sense.

If your idling rpms are low, and you have AC on, there's some vibration forsure.
My Lexus Hybrid I4 is ok, but my last 4cyl car if you rolled down the windows even while idling it would vibrate. Multiple windows and AC at the same time was like a mini earthquake lol.

My 350 vibrates a lot to. Most likely just the way they are.

thats true but a different kind. That engine is a beast. And I dont mean really big, or really powerful...but a beast nonetheless. Like a truck. Which I loved it a true NA.

Inline 4s and V6 engines are inherently susceptible to vibrations. They balance them as well as possible but don't expect miracles. My IS200t would vibrate some times and other times smooth. Even when I had a brand new ES loaner a couple years ago, less than 500 miles on ODO, it vibrated at a stop light. I was like huh..

If you want complete buttery smoothness at all times, try BMW straight six.

@E46CT Couldn't help but mention BMW again...which in no way offers a solution or explanation to the OP's original post...what another useless post.

It looks like you are idling at 750RPM. Is this with the A/C on and you can feel the vibration?
If someone else with a 200t could confirm what there's is at under the same conditions, that would be great.

Btw...nice Start button...didn't realize your car is right hand drive.

That's honestly a pretty normal RPM for the car to sit at when on the brakes if you ask me. Could go down to 650 or so if the AC compressor isn't running and/or the car is warmed up.

I took a video of mine yesterday too cause I was curious. In D, foot on brakes, with AC off my RPM was about 725. With ac turned on, it moved to about 775.

As mentioned earlier, I also feel a very noticeable vibration with AC turned on in idle.

AC off:

AC on:

Based on the RPM of your car and the info provided by @pngo it would appear that both your IS's idle in the same range (give or take 25RPM) when in D with the A/C on.
Unfortunately none of us can feel the vibration except you, so it's hard to say if its the same vibration everyone else feels, or it really is that much worse.

Is it possible that the modifications to the turbo piping could be causing the vibration...whether it's the piping itself or that the piping is contacting something causing the engines natural vibration to resonate through the items you mentioned?

Sorry if this is a Captain Obvious thing to say, but you could also just let the car idle and pop the hood and see if there are any noises you can't hear from inside the car.

Also, does this happen when the car is in Park, or only while in Drive with the brake pressed? That could be a clue.
