Default Warranty covers bumper damage?

I was driving at night and there was an object on freeway (couldn’t really see what it was, some kind of wooden panel maybe a small furniture), couldn’t swerve on time so I hit it and now there’s a big crack on the bumper (see pic)

I still have the original factory warranty. Would this be covered under warranty? If not how much would it cost to get front bumper replaced with labor and parts? I have $500 deductible insurance

No, that is physical damage...The warranty covers whatever goes wrong on the car on it's own...not road junk damage, that is what insurance if for.

Assuming this is all cosmetic damage and there’s no structural damage. How much do you think it cost to get front bumper replaced? If it’s around 1000 I rather not deal with insurance and pay out of pocket.

also should I take it to dealer or would independent body shop able to do as good of job? Looking for oem replacement

it might even be closer to $2000 to replace and repaint. Depending on which shop does the work.

What year is your car? Some ins co. will only approve OEM parts within the 1-2 years. I had the same thing happen to me in Jan driving to LA from Phx. My car had almost identical damage. It's 6 yrs old, so the ins would only allow for aftermarket. I had a $1000 deductible and the entire bill was less than $1500.

2017....but this is new to be as I just got this car (always having the worst luck with new car) but I’m ok to pay extra for OEM. At this point I’m leaning towards just paying out of pocket as I read hitting object on the road is considered at fault and I don’t want my premium to go up.

I called certified Lexus collision center and they quoted me $1500 for front bumper+chrome grill trim replacement+paint. If I take it to an independent body shop, would they be able to match the ultra white paint? Or would only Lexus dealership have that paint color?. My worry is having mismatch paint color

In my experience, hitting road debris
was covered under comprehensive.
So depending on your deductible,
it might not be too bad. Comprehensive
claim is not an “accident” But I was with
my insurance company many years and
they did not question how it happened.
