Anyone done a resonator delete?

But here in the US 500 shipped for invidia/tsudo. Apexi is closer to $900 and if your lucky finding someone selling a separate ark midpipe.
Very little to no drone, no rasp.

idk if having a 350 makes a difference but my friend has a 350 with invidia axle and resonator delete and when I sat in his back seat the drone is very much noticeable and raspy. He's got sound clips on his IG: rebel3is
Sometimes it’s really hard to tell if an exhaust sounds good over speakers, I’m 99% gonna do the res delete in the next 2 weeks I’ll post back when I do.
I'm quite positive with the lack of rasp - you can catch audio quality in the video I posted prior. It's filmed with a GoPro Hero 5. no external sound mic but it's fairly accurate. I was critical in hoping/hearing for no rasp and to date I really haven't noticed any particularly when driven under load.
Or maybe I have selective hearing, that's what the lady tells me anyways.

yeah the gopro is prerty good for sound accuracy. Imo its a little raspy but doesn't mean it sounds bad, just very familiar with the louder modded V6s around town.

Haha yeah I've been accused of such selective hearing too.

Ooh, that 1 res delete would be .. interesting..
Want to talk about rasp? We also have a s2000, our community is known for rasp.... Yikes. Thankfully, ours doesn't follow that common route too much.
When we did the Res delete on her IS, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounded. It's like how it was stated above it's definitely louder than stock but I would not say it's obnoxious by any means. The initial cold start is definitely loud but it quiets down very quickly.
- resonators tailor the tone, but with generally limited volume attenuation. The "fatter" ones will reduce volume as they have more dampening material, so removing our stock (fat-ish) ones will provide some volume increase.
- mufflers attenuate the volume, but have less effect on tone.
If you just want louder but want to maintain quality of sound, either change out the mufflers/axleback or remove the rearward cats. If you want better sound quality, change out the resonators and/or mufflers. Yes the stock pipes are tiny and bigger ones will improve sound and performance, but at a price. Removing resonators imo is what results in degraded sound and raspiness, as they are there to tailor and refine the tone.
For the best and simplest combo of increased volume and better tone, an axleback or just changing the mufflers is the best bet. If you're budgeting up to $600, I'd go simple with the Rev9 axleback, as install would be very quick and cheap, or you could even install it yourself as it's just a bolt-on.

Ive heard some screaming s2000's and I agree they don't fall i into the common rasp crowd...sound bigger than they are. There 1 in my area ill hear him a mile away yet not obnoxious, just mean as hell.
