Default Footwell Lights

Just bought my 2017 IS350 F Sport AWD a couple days ago and noticed there are no foot-well lights (that are turning on at least).
From what I've read so far, it seems like they are considered 'customizable' and you can deactivate them somehow?
Does anyone know how to reactivate them, without having to take a trip to the dealership?
I'm assuming that they do exist, unless any one has heard of any IS' coming without the option of foot-well lights.

Only foot well lighting on the 3is operated when the door opens, there is not ambient lighting for the footwell. You have to wire them yourself like I did.

There is one bulb at each foot well in the front, even my 2IS had a light for them. I replaced mine with LEDs.

I added red lights to the footwell to my '18 (see link below). You gotta play with the two buttons on the top of the center console by the rearview mirror. You can choose to have the lights turn on when the door opens or as I found out yesterday, they can turn on when youre driving if you just press one of those center buttons (It'll turn on one of the lights in the back seat as well.)

appreciate all the responses.
already getting used to driving without any light - kind of enjoying it even, but it'd be nice to know if i wanted them on i can just switch them on and off.

pq2319 where did you get the Fsport courtesy lights? I have the Lexus logo ones, but I haven't seen the Fsports for a decent price.

I presume the option for having the lights on while driving isn't available for the 2015 is?

I’ve been scouring the internet for a clean ambient light fix for a while. Lexus obviously chose to include ambient lighting in some areas and not others, as they kept it in the door handle cups, but I would like some light in the footwells and other recessed areas of the cabin.

There is a YouTube channel “Uni Channel” that demos an install for el lighting on the doors. I’m not really a fan of that type of ambient lighting, but what was interesting is that the kit has proprietary connectors that jump the factory window control harness for power. Sadly no link in the description. Led kits wired to ignition on would probably work, but I haven’t found anything that doesn’t look tacky/aftermarket.

If anyone has any suggestions, I’d be interested.
