I wouldn't think a "growling" sound is normal... The rear brakes on ISs are often squeaky when cold, however. With only 900 miles, I wouldn't hesitate to visit your dealer if you have not already done that.
That can happen on old pads/rotors or if they're less than a day old maybe. But you've had enough time to wear them in they should be buttery smooth coming to a stop. I'd go see the dealer
It's smooth. It just makes a weird noise when brakes are warmed up. Only if I'm rolling about 5 mph and stop. Under normal braking at higher speeds I hear nothing. It's just at a very low speed that it sometimes happens at the last second before complete stop.

or if your on a small hill and slowly release the brate? Like that gripping shudder/growl noise.
Something like that I guess. Car stops smooth and quick. No shaking or anything. Just a weird sound sometimes at the end of the braking process during low speed.
OK, I think that, based on your newer description, I have experienced this as well. I've also had this happen in other cars including my new GTI I just bought - the brakes grumble/groan a bit as I am rolling to a stop, especially if I am being very gentle. I've never thought it was a major problem, but I could be wrong.
