Default Tom's start/stop button type 2 mod

Shout out @ Chris Kheluram from youtube, nice little mod.
I got it from the Apexi website, I always wanted to buy something from the company and had to get 2 souvenirs 😄

Still waiting for everything to get here

If my name was ‘Tom’, then maybe. Or if I could choose my own text, like ‘Fire Up’, ‘Energize’, ‘Engage’, ‘Kick It’, or ‘Vroom’.

I respect your opinions. The reason I purchased the start button was to further personalize my vehicle and because of the cool history behind the company.

I saw other super cool start button threads on here with the f sport logo and others have customized something different entirely if you guys would like to do the mod as well!

I love Toms as a company / tuner, what they have done and what they stand for, tom has a lot of respect for the people familiar with them, but I am not a fan of this button personally. Obviously visual changes to your car are subjective and up to personal taste, so if you like it that is all that matters, don't let anyone here dissuade you from doing what you like / looks good to you!

I wanted to change the look of the button on mine too, and since I changed a lot of my interior trim to carbon fiber, I went with a red carbon fiber button with normal cf trim ring, I think it looks really cool

hey
I was able to get it on, but it was very difficult, those 4 clips around the button need to be pressed in and it will pop out, I broke one in the process but was able to get it out and install it, just be careful!

are these the clips you were referring to? if so there’s 3 of them so i just need to push them in and it’ll pop out? i thought i just needed to pull the button super hard but also scared that i might break it
