Do you guys all use that Enform stuff? I was told you get it for 10 years on this IS. But I'm not even sure if I need it, or what it does.
I don't really use remote start, but apparently there's some type of roadside assistance? I got a card in the mail telling me to get it set up.
The car is leased, so if I'm not interested I might at least get it setup so any future owner can use it......
I think you get 6 months trial on some of the good features and 3 years for the rest, not sure which is which but for sure remote start is only 6 months. I might be wrong on the 6 months, could be 1 year trial.
Then after the trial period, u will have to pay for the renewal in monthly or yearly subscription.

I believe the trial periods are now as follows:
Service Connect for 10 years
Safety Connect for 10 years
Enform Remote for 1 year
Destination Assist for 1 year
The above is correct trial period. It's a lot of bloatware, and the cost for Enform remote is ridiculous, 8 dollars a month/$96 a year. Even if you live in a hot or cold climate, the beefy Lexus HVAC heats or cools really quickly. Be prepared, when the trial ends, they will email you, send you multiple "scary" sounding letters (like there is something wrong), and even call you. But I'm thankful for things like the free weather maps and traffic updates.
One thing about the remote people often don't mention is the different guest driver modes. If you see yourself loaning the car to friends or getting valet regularly, you might like the ability to restrict the maximum speed or distance driven.
I've been liking the Enform Remote. Overpriced? Yes. But useful? Yes.

Yeah I will admit some of the features are pretty cool. The only one I truly use is the main screen to check the status of the car to make sure it’s locked and what not. Also if I forget my keys in the house and I wanted to grab something from the car I just whip out my phone and unlock the car.
