Default Confused as hell about cabin air filter

Confused as heck! My last filter was labeled “This side up” but new one has air flow direction indicators...
i watched 2 different videos of replacing the cabin filter in a 3is...one says arrows up, the other says arrows down...which way do I install this filter???
thanks!

Thanks. so airs going from top to bottom? Hence why the old filter was dirty on top? Should have posted this in the “ask a dumb question” thread.

Correct, the air flows through it from the top down

Looks like the actual markings are printed on the plastic packaging. Usually they are printed on the actual filter.

It’s on the filter just looks like it’s on the wrapping in the picture. I wasn’t sure what way the air came and I didn’t know if the arrow meant point towards the airflow or with the airflow. Mike answered my questions and it’s now installed. Pretty sure the dealership charges around $80-$100 for this job...sorry Lexus, not today!

Yeah It's crazy they charge that amount. It's like a 5 minute job. Of all the cars I've had in my lifetime that had cabin filters, this car is by far the easiest one to access / install that I've seen.

If you pulled out the old filter, the markings for airflow is on it as well.

Old filter used a “up” as the indicator to add to my confusion

That was just poor judgement in design lol. Was it aftermarket near OE?
