my 2000 Chev Cavalier had a bad case of carbon build up by its 9th year using regular gas, I had to keep the accelerator pressed so the engine would not shutdown.
my 2010 IS250 had zero issues at year 9, that of course was using premium (91), not many stations have 93 octane in Canada.
