Default Dreaded Carbon Build-up

Anyone know, does driving aggressive and WOT every once in awhile help from this becoming a problem? I see some horror stories and then also read about a guy who has 200,000 miles on the original engine.

Myth or not, it's my excuse for driving aggressively luckily it has not effected me, at 78k miles too.

Yes, it helps; plus helps keep your cats cleaned out.

I don't think so it's a hit or miss on the carbon build up. My girl has the 250 and never once at 85k now had an issue.

I agree that it is hit or miss but I think that giving it a WOT every now and then does actually help it from getting worse. "It may not prevent it but driving aggressively sure does help" - Per Lexus Service Advisor
