Default Newbie Needs Help

Hi

I have an IS250 2015 AWD and need new tires in the front. I now know what staggered tires means Looking for an All Season/Weather tires living here in the midwest. Looking for a quiet tire. I have read many articles on loud road noise with some tires. I was considering changing tires and wheels to be all the same size but i will stay with the staggered for now. I have Bridgestone Turanza EL 400 on the car right now.

Be kind as this is my first question here

TIA

A lot of people like Continental DWS06 on the forum for all-seasons for quietness. I haven't tried them, but considering them for when I need to change my tires in a couple of months.

The Continentals are a fine tire. I have a friend who had them on his IS 350 RWD F Sport, and he burned through them pretty quickly, however. But he also drives the crap out of his car, so take that for what it's worth.

I have the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S and like them. Maybe not as quiet as the Continentals, but definitely have good grip.

I recently bought a 2016 IS 300 AWD, F Sport. Dealer put Yokohama Advan Sports A/S all the way around before I bought it. They are super quiet, ride well, and handle pretty well. I've put 3K miles on them and have been very happy so far.

anything from michelin is going to be at the top of the class. that being said, it's all moot anyway as these cars use low profile tires. every tire inherently will be loud and any difference between them will be virtually indistinguishable. just go for something reputable with good reviews. see tire rack

Thank you! I may have made too much out of the "Quiet Tire" but someone mentioned loud and I hung onto it. I had Michelin on my previous cars as well.
To clarify, low profile tires are inherently loud? If so, good to know. I will turn the radio up

Yes. All things being equal--more rubber is generally quieter than a tire with less rubber. This class of car (sports sedan) like Mercedes C, BMW 3, Lexus IS, Cadillac ATS, tend to be louder than say a Lexus ES which uses thick (high profile) tires. So this class of car is a tad loud in general. par for the course for high performance

I have continental extreme contact DWS06 on my 2015 350.
Good treadwear, pretty quit, and a bit soft so on rougher roads they absorb bumps pretty well.
Not the best performance wise but great overall tire.
