haha, i definitely won't have the car in another six years' time, but yes, now for future reference i know what signs to look for, however.

Personally seen dozens of cars be rid of the sqeak long term with the spray lube. Spray for about 2-3 second...done.

Still , sound advise to take a look. Not hard to replace the belt and of course inspect everything you touch .

Yes, hide the problem. Belts make noise because something causing premature wear. Dressings conditions the rubber temporarily but it doesn’t solve the source of the problem. If the belt is just worn from weather or contamination, then replacing the belt is the best solution. Lubing the belt is a no no.
