Default Weird whining noise coming from engine upon acceleration

What can it be, dealer seems clueless. It does it in neutral as well when I'm driving. Not to loud but you hear a whining in the background. Dealer has had my car for 3 days now. It's a manual tRans if That helps.

Do you by chance have Aux cord +a charger in the cig lighter? Our car tends to get a whine with that combination

no, its coming from the engine.. i get what your saying but picture that noise but from the actual engine not feedback through the speakers.

Can you upload a video with audio? I noticed a whine from my car's engine too when I first got it and CL informed me it was normal and had something to do with the timing chain vs. a belt. It's a faint whine but I can definitely hear it, and it fluctuates with RPMs (regardless of gear/neutral). So it could be normal or it could be something else - audio would help.

sorry cant get audio my car is still at the dealer being looked at. the noise definitely isnt normal i had my car for 2.5 years and this noise came out of no where. the IS engine does make some sounds thats normal but this one started out of no where. you can even hear it while driving when you accelerate.

Is the noise rpm-dependent or more constant? Could be a failing water pump pulley or alternator. Both of those I've seen member complain about hearing things from them.

GL!
