Default TPMS Sensor Compatibility Questions

2 Parts:

1) After lots of searching around, there appears to be no clear answer on this. Most TPMS sensors are compatible with the 3IS, but not all of them display the tire pressure in the dash display. I am currently using 2IS sensors, and they also do not display pressures. Does anybody know which sensors will display pressure on the dash?

2) After getting new front tires, my TPMS light is now on. Does anybody know if getting the FR and FL wheels mixed up would cause this? Kind of annoying.

TIA!

1. Other than the OEM sensors, I'm not sure which brand will show the pressures. I do know for sure the 2IS ones won't work as they operate on a different frequency
2. The short answer is no...I explained in another thread, at length, why moving the sensors around the vehicle won't cause an issue. But if you're using 2IS sensors, it doesn't matter cause they're not compatible with 3IS.

Default Tpms

There is Hiline and lowline sensors. To get the PSI on the dash you will need the Highline.

You are correct, I'm actually using Toyota sensors, Part No. 42607-06011. Hopefully they will last until I need a new set of tires.

Well that sucks, I replaced the stock set because one was failing and the Lexus dealer refused to cover it under my 2010 2IS warranty so I got a set of Denso's off Amazon for my 2IS winter set that I will also be using for my 3IS this winter. Though Denso's part finder lists the same 315mhz freq for both parts. Guess I'm getting yet another set next year when I replace the tires and ignore the light this year.

2010 Lexus IS250 V6 2.5L TPMS Sensor 550-0103 Note: 315 MHz, Clamp In, 35 in-lbs, 4 N.m
2018 Lexus IS350 V6 3.5L TPMS Sensor 550-0105 Note: 315 MHz, Clamp In, 35 in-lbs, 4 N.m

I am noticing with some sites I have to pick 2018 IS350 instead of 2018 IS300 for compatibility checks as IS300 has nothing listed.

Did you have to buy the other smaller parts like the caps and fittings as well? What are the part numbers for those?

Should come in the box, with the Orange and Denso brand sets I got for my 2IS everything was included.
