Default iPhone not displaying Music Data

Recently when plugging up my iPhone to play music via USB from the center console the screen is blank but the music still plays. Previously it displayed the song title/cover art and how much longer the song had left as well as options to skip pause etc.

Any ideas on how to fix? I tried both Apple Music and Spotify apps both were blank. Also, my girlfriend played music and hers was blank as well. I have checked for software updates but there does not seem to be any.

have attached settings and what my display looks like below.

I got mine fixed. I recently had to restore my iPhone and just realized that I had no physical songs downloaded so I plugged it back up to iTunes and transferred my songs back onto my phone.

After that I plugged it back into my car and it tried to play the first song in my iPhone that is physically downloaded and when I switched to Spotify everything worked as intended

I suppose the phone needs a physical song to read the iPhone as an “iPod” device and then everything will work after that.

I had the same issue and realized it was because I deleted Apple Music which is like what is used to give the Lexus information about what is being played. I would only ever use Spotify premium so I never had a reason to keep Apple Music. Once I reinstalled Apple Music the metadata for the music from Spotify started displaying.

I had something similar. All I did was turn off my phone to restart it. Then it worked again.
