Default Window Moisture

Hi all, long time reader first time poster.

I have a 2017 IS 300 F-Sport and I've noticed that sometimes when I roll my windows down, and then roll them back up, they come up with moisture on them. I didn't think much of it until it happened on a sunny day. That says to me there's moisture on the inside of the door. Perhaps some rain is getting inside the door?

Anyone else have an issue like this? Should I be concerned? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It's just water doing water stuff. The outside trim (on most cars) has a felt inside that acts as sort of a seal, noise suppressor, but also collects water. so the water takes a while to dry once accumulated, and will streak your windows. normal

This happens to me every time I wash the car. I've trained myself to not roll down the windows until the next day.

Assuming the moisture on the roll-up is outside, it's just the water that is trapped in the felt on the belt molding. The belt molding is that chrome strip on the outside of the door at the bottom of the window.
It does take some time to dry out after getting wet...even up to the next day depending on the kind of ambient temps you have.

Yup perfectly normal as the outside seal will never be completely dry for about a day or two after it rains so when you roll your window down and then up it's going to streak it with a little water. Hate this because then my window is all dirty when I forget it rained recently so if it really bugs you try not to open your windows after rain or a car wash.

Yeah I sometimes have water there the next day, as I keep my car garaged too. Doesn't happen quite as often in the summer time of course.

a closed garage that has water in it (from a washed car) gets damp, moldy, mildewy fast. tip: if you wash your car and park it in the garage, crack your garage open. or else you'll come back to a mildewy odor in the morning..

It’s never happened to me. But then again there’s hardly humidity here and my garage has drains.
