So I purchased a 2017 Lexus IS300 F-sport in september of 2018 and was lucky enough to get it L-certified. I absolutely love the car. Couldnt be any happier. But I think I made a mistake. I cant keep anything 100% stock, but I dont need to change anything on this car, except I wanted it lower. Wanted a WEEEE bit better cornering. To not f*** with the warranty, i had my local lexus dealership installed the lexus f sport lowering spring and do an alignment. The springs are to lower it mildly by approximately 1 inch. My wife picked up the car and when i got home was immediately pissed when i saw it. The rears I'm happy with, lost about 3/4 inch of the gap, the front on the other hand look almost as if its higher, or about the same as stock springs. My question is, will I see 3/4-1 inch of "settling" or am i beat and have to get springs from h&r or any other recommended brand? Help a brother out!!!
Yeah the front looks even higher than stock, alright. They don't drop much anyway but you should get 1/2", unless perhaps you have AWD then it'll be minimal. Only one or two here have reported trying them.
OP - Your IS now looks like my RC which I am preparing a fairly lengthy post on the RC forum - I want to make sure all potential buyers of the AWD RC is aware how hideous the front gap is.
I am shocked that your gap is worse then before - I had a 2015 and 2017 IS350 AWD and the gap was not as bad as this so have it checked. I would go to a dealer and measure the gap on a new one on the lot so you can compare with yours. Did they install the RC springs or what?!?
