Default Why can't they just....

....put the darn proximity key unlock door sensors on the rear doors also!

I get so used to walking up and being able to open the front doors without using the key that I automatically go to the rear doors and they don't work...argh!!!

ok...just a little venting...thanks! :P haha.

Entry level price entry level features. ES has sensors on rear door handles but car handles like a boat.

I agree. My GS has them on the rear doors and it’s very convenient. Even my parents’ RAV4 has sensors on the rear doors.

The technology features will get trickled down to it eventually. But then again, the less tech heavy the car is the less issues you run into in the long run. I think a lot has to do with sales statistics such as if the Camry has it, how much of the Camry of that "tech" package gets sold per year before they introduce it to the IS. Tesla did the same recently when you go to the store to build a car. If you have noticed a lot of the extra technology features that everyone wanted but it's too damn expensive to add-on is not actually cheaper to get it now than it was a year ago.

Just like push to start. It was on more higher end cars before more common cars came with the technology.

Can set your car to unlock all doors by the sensors on the front door. I just put my hand near the handle on the front door before grabbing the rear handle.

Really? What year is your ride? I got a 2014 and I don't see the option in the set up menu...

It should be in the same setting menu for your car settings controlling when the doors lock if doors were not opened after unlocking the car with the key or locking the doors when you put it in drive and such.
