Default Wheel Alignment after new tires

Replaced Toyo Proxes 4 Plus with Continental DWS06s. Quick review in one sentence: These are comfy pillows that have ridiculous grip. Emphasis on comfy... and pillows. Marshmallows?

Wheel Alignment:
Had my vehicle aligned at a Lexus Dealership (would have used a local raceshop, but they are booked for a week!), and everything was aligned to spec. Front right caster is off by 0.2, which I dont think is terrible. Will upload spec sheet later today. Damn pot holes...

However, the dealership failed to align my steering wheel properly. First noticed it while I was on the freeway driving back home, and it has bugged me ever since. Steering wheel has to be turned ~10 degrees left to go straight after the alignment. Girlfriend noticed steering wheel was off too. Mechanically though, the car travels straight as an arrow.

Thoughts:
Could be a simple possible tie rod adjustment in regards to toe?

Dealership wants me to do a drive with the foreman to see what Im talking about, but this will have to wait till Monday.

Anyone have insight into an off center steering wheel?

It can be fixed during alignment. Have had it before, multiple times. Just get them to realign and fix it. easy fix.

Yeah, the service advisor didnt sound too happy, but said he'll "give me the benefit of the doubt" and wont charge me a second alignment. If that were the case, I'd just wait for the professional wheel shop.

Glad it should be an easy fix though

I have an appointment tomorrow to get dws’s on my car. I have upgraded RCF/GSF lower control arm bushings so NVH is already a touch worse than stock + it’s pothole city where I live so I could use some softer tires. My other pick was going to be BFgoodrich GForce Comp 2 A/S but they wear much faster and are apparently a pretty hard tire. Some ppl claim the DWS’s make their cars drive “like a boat”... would you go as far as saying that?

A simple Toe adjustment where both side tie rods are turned in opposite directions once the steering wheel is set straight in the vehicle.
Best to do with the alignment heads on the vehicle as eyeballing it is only so accurate.
The advisor shouldn't be upset, it happens all the time...especially when the steering wheel lock (tool that comes with the alignment machine) isn't used during the front Toe adjustment.

I've had experience with the BFGoodrich tires on my brother's 5 series and was very happy with how they drove. I actually recommended them to my brother. They have a decently stiff sidewall, a bit heavy in feel, but performance is great.

On the other hand, [keep in mind I've only had the DWSs for two days], these Contis are very comfortable. Not a sporty tire by any means, but that's what I was looking for. I have two sets of wheels, and the other is the fun set. Generally speaking if you want a sporty feel, I'd suggest BFGoodrich over Conti. Cannot comment on snow capability.

Appreciate the insight Sasnuke. Hopefully it will be resolved on Monday.

You can do this at home if you're savvy. I posted about it a few weeks back. i did this myself in the garage when i had this problem. in and out in 5 minutes rather than jerking around with foreman and shops. I am my OWN foreman. i decide whats wrong and i fix it. fast.

Lock the wheel down centered, and you simply turn the tie rods so that they adjust the wheels in the direction they need to go. Having an alignment sheet helps for reference but ideally you'd turn both tie rods equally in the same direction. Likely 1 or 2 turns. maybe less. but no more.

springs are still for sale

You sure you want to turn them in the SAME direction, or OPPOSITE directions? I'll let you ponder that.
Keeping in mind we're talking about correcting a steering wheel that is off center...not actually trying to correct a Toe measurement.

At the dealership.

Shop foreman was able to reproduce the issue, so the dealership said they will take care of it.

I would do the work myself, but it's something I haven't done before and prolly would take me longer than someone with much more experience. Prolly could have attempted it over this 4th of July break, but had vacation plans...
