Default Ac only blowing air to windshield

My AC will only blow to my windsheild (the defrost thing- blows hot or cold) when I change it to blow out of my regular ac vents ( front or back seat) it makes a super quiet whistling sound and no air blows out what so ever .. I live in south Florida and won’t be able to take it to the dealership for the next week and I’m dying of heat. Any idea what it could be ? 2015 Lexus IS 250 F sport

Possible faulty A/C servomotor, hold AUTO and recirc button while turning ignition on and see if there are any error codes. If you have techstream, you can also try performing the A/C servomotor re-initialization.

Agreed...sounds like a servo motor issue.

Reviving this old thread to see if you ever figured this out? Currently having this same issue with my 2010 IS250 currently only blowing through defrost vents.

Check to see if you still fall under the voluntary servpro recall 125k/7 years which ever occurred first. I missed it awhile ago. I have been trying a few things since yesterday. The first thing is I ran the AC codes by pressing the auto and recirculate buttons and starting the car, you will see it rotating through numbers on the display bar above the buttons and it will probably pull a few codes. I then tried to clear the codes by unplugging the battery waiting 5 minutes min and then pressing the radio dial button, after I pressed it the main display blinked and it looking like codes were cleared but that didn’t fix no air through the front and floor. I then tried a second method, I ran the codes again with the recirculate/auto button method and tried to clear codes another way by pressing front and back defrost buttons at the same time. Again Nothing got fixed but this time when I ran the codes again only one code was pulled 42. I tried the defrost buttons again to clear it, still no air out of the front and floor vents. I then gave up, came back 5 hours later and now it works. I think if you keep tinkering with it pulling codes and clearing them it will eventually work assuming the motor is still good.
