Infotainment Controller

Looking to buy a 2016 IS200T and there are some that have the hockey puck control and some that have the joystick. Beside the physical usage is there anything I should know? New version of Infotainment? Basically I'm just looking for the pros and cons.

The "hocked puck" is for those with navigation. The rotary controller is for those without (display audio).
