Default Gum on red leather seats

Hi guys and gals. I wanted to come here first since we all have similar cars and all care about them. I recently had some gum stuck on the passenger side seat. Before trying anything I wanted to see if anyone had any experience or knowledge on what the best thing to do to remove this gum. I don't want to damage it so i was hoping someone might be able to guide me here.

Thank you in advance.

I have not had gum on a seat, but, if it was me I'd try using an ice cube first to harden it and hopefully pull it right off. Good luck.

I'd to the opposite. Heat and maybe a bit of tar remover spray from the auto store if it's stubborn. steam would work as well.

and the vinyl is extremely durable. extreme.

I would do a combo of both...use the ice cube to remove as much as possible, then use steam and some sort of chemical to remove any residue.

Steam usually works on my shorts (LMAO)

As E46CT says, do the opposite. I stepped on gum in the parking lot and didnt realized I brought it into my car. Leather floor mats got fked with gum everywhere. I parked the car in the sun for a few hours and let the gum get really soft. Use a gentle interior cleaner like the Chemical Guys All Purpose Interior Cleaner. Takes it off easy.

Using ice on the gum could cause it to bond "more" thus possibly damaging your leather.
