Default 2015 IS350 - DRL not working

Please, excuse my ignorance. I recently got a 2015 IS350 F Sport (59K Miles) and just noticed the DRL (Nike light) doesn't come on. The light switch is currently set to Auto. I checked the light settings in the console and DRL setting is ON.

Does the LED go bad that quick and can anyone recommend replacements? - not that i'm sure it's the LED that's bad or something else is messed up.. i don't know much about cars asides driving them and checking oil.

No.. didn't even know where it's located, but i just found this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-fuse-box.html.

Another stupid question, can i tell a bad fuse just by looking at it or do i need a tool for that?

If you pull the fuse out and look through it, you should be able to see if it's blown.

Thank you. According to some threads, the fuse is labeled H-LP UPR. I will give it a shot. Thanks.

There have been one or two more reports of a DRL failing, not the LED but the driverboard inside the DRL. Once you check that fuse and update us we can help you some more. If that fuse isnt blown then its most likely that driverboard (which is inside the DRL) and you will need to replace the whole assembly. This sorta thing should be covered under warranty by your dealer.

The DRL's are actually powered by the Semiconductor Power Integration ECU...which is located inside a junction block.
That ECU is fused to the 100A P/I-B fuse (see below). Assuming that fuse isn't blown, as it will power other things on the vehicle, it sounds like the DRL's themselves have failed (as Pittsy suggested).
On the DRL connector you will find a Black wire and White wire.
With the vehicle running or ignition ON, DRL switch on, parking brake off, and the DRL disconnected, the harness side Black wire should have voltage (probably 12V's) and the White wire should have continuity to ground (less than 1 ohm).
If both those are present, the DRL is defective. If you are going to attempt to check the DRL connector yourself, I suggest the passenger side one. You will have to remove the forward part of the inner fender liner to access the back of the DRL.

Are you checking for the DRL's to be on while parked...with the parking brake set? This will extinguish the lights
if you want to be parked and dark. Release the brakes and they are on. Use the emergency brake...in an emergency
or just for hand brake turns and they will stay on.

That's actually a good point, the parking brake should be off to check DRL operation...especially when you first start the vehicle.

Have you checked the customization menu in settings? I'm on Page 173 and Page 543 in the owners manual.

menu -> setup -> vehicle customization -> light settings -> DRL on
