Thanks for the info guys. I just dont understand why you have to pay a yearly fee for something like this. is there no way to hack it?
Nope. Probably a good idea to NOT talk about that on this forum, there is a forum policy specifically against talking of hacks and free softwares that usually cost money.

thanks for the heads up about that policy. I contacted Lexus to connect the car and there not letting me because the last owner is still has an account on my vin. so I have to send Lexus my title.
This is what I am doing. Subscribing monthly for the 3-4 winter months here in PA, then cancelling the subscription = $64/year for remote start in the winter. And maybe in July/August I'll subscribe again for cooling, who knows.
Thanks all. I do use the key fob (well key brick--why does it need to be so big?) but we shouldn't have to. It is a shame that Lexus doesn't fix poor software that is really below the level of a low end Chevy.
Sometimes the fob works, sometimes not. I guess I need to talk to Lexus maintenance next time I am there.

Lol really? Wow, that explains so much. Follow the money, as they say...
The keyfob "3-click" remote start is how Toyota/Lexus traditionally operated remote start before Enform was around. Even after introducing Enform Remote Start, you can still use the keyfob to operate it instead.
Right...I find this traditional method easier instead of waiting for the app to respond. Not sure if this method will work without the remote subscription though.
