Air filter upgrade
Thoughts on these air filters?! I bought one recently just got it, hesitant to put it in? Is it worth it over the stock one? Kind regards
guys need some help here, should I just leave my stop air filter pad in? Or change the stock one over to this bad boy? Kind regards. Paul

When you open your intake box, the top piece that you open up look in it and you’ll see a charcoal filter. It’s built into the intake box, you have to cut it out. It’s there for emissions, but it’s an additional restriction. Someone just posted a thread on the difference of having it in vs off (Engineering Explained YouTube video). Most of us here on the forums have removed it, it seems.

Blitz is a great brand if its the same price however there wont be much difference from the K&N or F sport filter for this particular application. So it boils down to preference and availability.

Interesting the gains the EE guy showed with the better filters (from his other video), but also odd that removing the charcoal didn't do much in conjunction with the K&N. I've always heard and figured you gain maybe 2-3hp at best, but if gains really are in the order of 3-4%, that's pretty significant once you get up into our power levels.
