Default Wheel Spacers - Final Analysis

Yes or No?

20mm Front
15mm Rear

With setup:
Stock wheels 18x8.5.
(95% sure Same specs for F-Sport or Base)
Stock size 255/35/18 tires.
RSR Downs (approx 1" drop)

This will allow for a nice wide stance, brining the wheels out more flush to the fenders BUT absolutely NO RUB?

It seems like yes but I've got mixed comments/opinions.

Edit: My conclusion in this case is yes, this was the best setup. I initially tried 20mm all around and was rubbing with the rear tires. My tires are currently Goodyear Eagle Sport all season.
Several others reported (here and elsewhere) that they have 20mm spacers with the same or similar ride height, stock wheel/tire size, and did not rub.

Thanks!

I have the same, but have not installed them yet. From all I've gathered, 20f/15r is safe, but 25f/20r is hit and miss.

Yeah seems to be my findings too. 20mm rears gets mostly good feedback but yeah hit or miss.

I want it as wide as possible without rub. Can't do it won't do it.

Running 20mm Front and 15mm Rear.

Perfect set up for a nice aggressive stance and allows me to fully air down properly with out any issues

Sorry I actually have Tein H Techs i meant my drop is same as half downs. I have the class of springs that are mild drop. Slightly less than an inch I think. I wanted to go for that professional factory "Hey man is your car dropped--i can't tell" look.

My motto is if someone has to ask if you modified something, you're doing it right.

Lexus F Sport, Tein H Tech and RSR Half Downs all have more or less the same drop

Used to have this exact setup. No rubbing whatsoever.

I got that question a few times about ride height actually, before the drop even.

Thank you.

I ended up ordering 20mm all around. It seems safe enough. Most of the windy back roads which i really push through corners in will let me know day 1 if any rub is possible.

I'll report back as most people wanting this mod have stock setup, and RSR downs are so common... so it'd be nice to know.

(I would post if I had the time but a handful of people had issues with 20mm all around and lowered, most however do not.)

Good. Then that should tell you your car is nice as is and doesn't need much as it sits. Less is more. =)

Not to hijack, but if I'm running F-Sport wheels and stock tires and the stock F-Sport springs, would I be safe with 20F/25R?

When you say "stock F sport springs" i assume you mean the springs that came on your car and not the optional (actual) F Sport lowering springs?

25R is aggressive. if anything i'd go 25 on the front.

but 20/20 is aggressive as is.

i think the car would look like a 4x4 if stock ride height w/ spacers.

Opinions seem to vary -- some say they rub, some don't. I'm "sacrificing" the extra 1/5" and going safe with 20/15.

Edit -- did you mean 25f/20r? AFAIK, you cannot go that high in the back, some have said 20r rubs.
