Default Climate control temp fluctuating.

Hi,

I have this strange problem (or maybe not a problem) where the temp is slightly fluctuating on my center console. For example, i set the temperature to 22.5C on both the passenger or diverd side. In a day or 2, i will noticed one of the side being at 23C. The jump is always only 0.5 degrees. The problem is really rare and i never actually witnessed the moment it changes.

I have called a local dealer and explained my situation and they mentioned that it's not a normal behaviour and it would be something very hard to diagnose given the frequency. On the other hand, I called Lexus Canada and they said it's normal because it's actually reading the cabin temperature. Once the temp is set, the read out acts as a thermostat measuring the air temp. Has anyone noticed this on their 3IS? I have never seem the temp setting change in my 2008 ES.

Thanks.

I think I have had this same issue, but it seems fairly harmless. Once in a while, I'll come back into the car, and the temperature will be 73 degrees F, which incidentally, is about 23.4 degrees C. It doesn't seem to matter what temperature is set beforehand, as it always goes to 73.
