Perhaps a dirty MAF sensor? Easy to clean. Just go get it scanned to what code it is. And no you don't need a tune.

Any auto parts store will scan the codes for free. Just get the codes then google the codes and you will find what they mean. I personally have a BlueDriver bluetooth OBDII scanner, but if you don’t have an OBDII then your only option is an auto parts store to scan them for you for free or buy your own.

What year is your IS? Weird that you’re getting a CEL. Are you having any actual noticeable issues or the light is lit up with no symptoms?

it’s a 2017 I had the exhaust and intake on their for almost a year never had an issue but all of a sudden the check engine light came on so been trying to figure out what’s going on got it checked at the shop that installed it said no leaks maybe just some water but still something is causing the check engine light to come on the told me not to worry

More than likely something other than the exhaust and the intake you installed. Get it checked as previously suggested to know for sure.

Code scanners are cheap enough now that I keep one in each car. I have several of these. It is nice to be able to pull codes right away to see if it is something that needs urgent attention. It is also nice to clear the code to see if it comes again or if it was a one time fluke or mis-fire, etc.....

Mass Air Flow sensor = MAF. They can get dirt built up and usually it's as easy as taking a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to clean it up.

Any updates yet? I am curious what you found. not many posts about check engine lights on here.

My landcruiser just threw a misfire code. ended being a coil pack that made it 261,000 miles.

Glad you got it figured out. Looks like a fairly expensive part if you go OEM. $140-$160 on lexuspartsnow.com
